HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response: Dogs at Work

Video Description:

Animal-Assisted Crisis Response is a relatively new and yet widely used resource that has gained recognition across our country since the tragic experiences in New York City on 9/11.  Since then hundreds of K-9 Teams have come to the aid of individuals and communities in need of emotional support and encouragement following crises and disasters within our nation.

Mary Martin and Ellie (Mary’s HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response Dog) reside in Bozeman, Montana and have been a part of HOPE AACR since 2006.  In this video Mary shares her history, training, deployment experiences, and thoughts on being involved within the crisis response world as a volunteer.
