Treating Dog-Dog Reactivity

Presented by: Patricia McConnell

DVD- 2 disc set plus CD-Rom

Would you like walking your dog to be fun again? Does your dog growl, bark or lunge at other dogs when on leash? This DVD of a half-day seminar will teach you the best ways to help on-leash dogs to react calming and politely when encountering other dogs.

Do you find yourself not wanting to take Maggie on walks because you don't like the way she reacts to other dogs? Does Barney growl, bark, or lunge when on-leash when he sees other dogs? There are several motivations for Dog-Dog Reactivity and this DVD covers how to treat them all using state-of-the-art, positive methods, including Counter Classical Conditioning, and On-Cue & Off-Cue Operant Conditioning. This half-day seminar contains informative slides, numerous videos, and live demonstrations of Patricia working with real dog-dog reactive dogs for the first time. This is a great DVD for both trainers and novice dog owners alike.

Very Practical & Well Demonstrated Review by JKatz
Patricia McConnell does a fabulous job balancing thorough explanation with effective demonstrations. If you have a reactive dog, using the ideas presented will be of great benefit. I especially appreciated her emphasis on working with a dog below threshold for success. A great resource. Loved it. (Posted on 12/2/13)
Super Review by Martie
Just finished watching Treating Dog-Dog Reactivity. I love the way Patricia combines theory with practice. The first DVD is all about the science as well as her own experiences working with dogs for 20+ years. The second DVD is demonstrating the various techniques with real dogs. It really helps to see it in action. She does a great job of explaining how to work within the threshold of a dogs reactivity. My only complaint is that I think this will complete all of the videos available on Tawzer that are Patricia McConnell's. I really have learned a lot from her videos and books. She is an incredible source and glad Tawzer is making it available for people who want to learn more about training dogs. (Posted on 11/16/13)
